Hurting people, listen to this voice of

experience hard won.

Forgiving seems easy but

forgetting’s seldom done.

Buried far back in a crevasse

  in your brain

the hurt, the resentment fester and

cause unbearable pain.

Unless the bleeding sore is exposed

  to the light,

cleansed and hopefully healed,

relationships will never be right.

Is your love strong and steadfast enough

  to rebuild shattered trust?

Or is the relationship doomed to

wither and die in the dust?

The answer should be dredged

from deep in your soul –

be very tough.

If it’s “no”, say “Farewell, happy life

We loved - but just not enough.”
