It seemed I was destined to live alone,
Love for me still remained an unknown.
Flames flickered brightly until the first
breeze,
Fleeting passions meant only to tease.
The dating scene had become a bad play
With tiresome plots, no thrills to convey.
Resigned, I strolled through my neighborhood
park,
Somehow our paths crossed, behold a spark!
I’ll never forget the smile on your face,
Or how you asked if we’d met someplace.
My instincts knew it was not just a line,
We sensed a bond we could not define.
What curious love magic was at play?
“He’s here, at last,” I heard my heart say.
Caution was tossed as you reached out your hand,
We touched, I knew, this had all been planned.
Now you’re beside me and we are a team,
With great respect for love’s precious scheme.
Some things it seems, can’t appear till it’s
right
And one of them was you, my sweet knight.
