You don't have to promise me you'll be here

When I need you - just for a while

It will take away my fear

To be with you and to see you smile

I will get over you just as I did before

But I will never love like this anymore

You are my shining light

You make my days and nights bright

You are my heart's desire

You set my soul on fire

I will go on living without you

But I will think of you whatever I do

Until my dying day you will be in my heart

And I wish we would never part

I can't change the world if I wanted to

You will walk away I know that you do

Some day soon you will see

You were the right one for me

It will be too late for both of us then

All that remains is the question of when

Will we ever meet again
