Spring ,
A State of Mind
What splendor have
cherry blossoms
If our eyes do not behold them?
What breeze can warm us with its touch
When our spirits remain frozen?
If those who died last September
Might have just this day back on earth
Each moment would be a treasure
Of love, celebration and mirth.
They would hear the robins singing
And admire daffodils in bloom.
Savor dewed grass beneath bare feet
And inhale Springs fragrant perfume.
Perhaps we can honor their memory
By living as they cannot do.
Take time each day now to cherish
The beauty that’s all around you.
Outside, a party’s beginning.
Will we choose to wake up and dance?
Who knows what bliss is awaiting,
If we just give Springtime a chance.

Once in a lifetime
You find someone
Who touches not only your heart
But also your Soul
Once in a lifetime
You discover someone
Who stands by you, not over you
You find someone
Who loves you for who you are
Not for who you could be
Once in a lifetime
If you are lucky
You find someone
As I have found you!
My dreams were all my own;
I accounted for them to nobody;
they were my refuge when annoyed -
my dearest pleasure when free.
Mary Shelley (1797-1851)
English author
Spring crept through my window
Perched upon the sill,
And kindled flames of yellow
Upon a daffodil.

For lo, the winter is past
The rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come.
Song of Solomon 2:11. 12
