What makes a Love?

Caring, sharing, ever panning away

The walls, we have built from fear

Holding, molding, ever enfolding

the feelings which brought us near

and beyond all this the primal seed

of purest love

that gift from God which lifts us to

the stars above

placed inside our very soul

at life's first sign

to demonstrate to all the love

behind the grand design

the mighty depths of giving

we possess

the magic gift of loving we confess.

What makes a Love?

The look in the eye,

the smile in it's place

The touch of a hand,

caressing the face

the sigh deeply felt,

the tilt of the head

the trembling voice overcome

by the feelings within not said

The tear in the eye,

the gentle face

the feel of a hand,

the loving embrace,

the whisper of trust

the kiss of delight

the surging voice declaring

devotion and love-charged emotion

the candle light.

Two hearts blended

Two souls mended

Searching ended

That makes a Love

Love's Journey

The lives we lead,

The games we play

The love we find,

And throw away

Mistakes we make,

But fix we may

Answers are hard,

Even in light of Day

If we could ever be so bold

To one day not do as we are told

To follow our hearts to ends of earth

We might just find a new  rebirth.

If we may regain what we have lost

And not have to bear the full cost

We might learn from our mistakes

And be full of love in it's place.
